Rent a cell phone for Mexico and get virtually unlimited high speed data for your trip. In addition, with an app such as Talkatone, which is free to download and free to use, you can get unlimited calls and texts back to the USA and Canada.
We offer several handsets to rent but please note that in order to download apps you will need to rent an iPhone 8 or newer version. Renting is straightforward. Select the phone you want to rent, then enter the departure and return dates. Your phone will arrive 2-3 business days prior to your departure (time permitting) and will be ready to go. You can use your home WiFi to download any apps you need prior to your trip – just be sure to remove them once your are back home and before sending the rental phone back to Cellular Abroad in the included prepaid USPS package (USA customers only).
Please note that, although it is standard policy in the cellular business to advertise the term, “unlimited”, there is a “Fair Usage Policy” that specifies caps at 10GB each 14 days of your rental, which is enough data for 99% of all travelers.
