Cellular Abroad is the only US distributor of Vodafone’s Uno Mobile, the largest Italian cellular service provider. Our Italian eSIMs have been specifically designed for English speaking travelers to Italy and offer instructions and prompts in English plus, depending on the plan you choose, calls to the United States as part of the bundle. In addition, and unlike other eSIM solutions available on the market, this is not a roaming solution hence not only are the data speeds faster and there is more of it but there will be an Italian phone number associated with the service.
Benefits
Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile’s International roaming rates either expensive or very slow – painfully and frustratingly slow. Some carriers don’t even offer roaming to Italy and none will give you an Italian number. Our eSIMS for Italy will give you 4G and 5G speeds and plenty of data.

We offer three different plans.
Tourist Plan
The Tourist Plan is by far our most popular plan. This plan offers unlimited calls in Italy and the rest of the EU to Italian numbers plus gives you 320 minutes of calls to the US and Canada from Italy and is packed with a generous 80GB of 4G/5G data per each 30 days which is many times more than the average user will consume in a month and therefore, we can safely say it is virtually unlimited in terms of the amount of data you will have.
Professional Plan
This plan is for travelers, often professionals (like travel writers and videographers) or students, who need an exceptional amount of data (150GB of 4G/LTE). It also offers unlimited calling within Italy. While calls in Italy are unlimited, this plan does not have international calling but you can of course call internationally with Skype, WhatsApp, Talkatone, or any other app that uses data to make a call.
Executive Data Plan
This plan is data only and offers 200 GB of data. You can of course call and text using apps as they rely on data. This option is typically used by professionals who are on Zoom for many hours per day or need to stream high amounts of data.
Our Italy SIM options use Vodafone, the largest carrier in Italy with the best coverage in Italy and the rest of the EU. Vodafone provides excellent coverage and 4G/LTE data speeds throughout Italy, including Sicily, Sardinia, and virtually anywhere else in Italy. To activate the SIM card, simply download the QR code on your phone. We will email you the QR code typically within 24 hours after you order the SIM card.
Here is how to check to see if your phone or iPad is unlocked and eSIM compatible. Go to:

– Information
– Carrier lock : you will see in this field “NO SIM restrictions” or “SIM restricted” which means it is unlocked.
In case your device is locked, contact your carrier and see if you qualify to have the device “unlocked” (you just need to provide its IMEI that you can find under the Settings or dial *#06# to display it on your screen).
