The last thing you need when you are traveling is slow or unreliable data. In addition, you can make and receive unlimited calls and text messages within Europe on your rental phone.
All rentals are shipped with everything you need for your trip including the phone and activated SIM card (already inserted into your phone rental), international plug adapters and chargers, instructions plus a return package for easy return when you are back from your trip (USA only). Simply select your phone option, enter your departure and return dates. Your rental cost will be calculated. Time permitting, you will receive the phone at least 2-3 days prior to your departure so you can upload apps if desired.
While all of our rentals allow unlimited calling and texting within Europe, in order to call to the USA or Canada you will need an app. WhatsApp is great if the other party also has the app on their phone but to call to those who don’t or to a landline, we recommend Talkatone which is a free app that allows unlimited calls and texts to the USA and Canada. Please note that you need an iPhone 8 or newer in order to download apps such as Talkatone, WhatsApp and others. Please note that our rentals do work in the US but only for data. Therefore, if you want to make a call, you can but only with an app.
